The 48th National Scientific Conference of the ASMR (ASMR NSC 2009) will be held at Hobart, Australia, from 15-17 November 2009.
The Eightth Asia Pacific Bioinformatics conference (APBC2010) will be held at Bangalore, India, from 18-21 January 2010.
The symposium will be held at the Royal Newcastle Centre on Friday 8-10 am March 13, 2009. The talks are "Breast Cancer, Sentinel Nodes and Biomolecular Analysis" by Prof. Graham Layer and "Leadership for Safety and Quality" by Prof. Bruce Barraclough.

The Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) Awards Night was held from the 5th November 2008 with the intention of "Celebrating our people and their passion for improving our health..."
Professor Rodney Scott, a founder and director of CIBM, was recognised as the Hunter's leading health and medical researcher of 2008. His research focuses on the genetics of breast and bowel cancer.
Other CIBM members to be awarded on the night were Bente Talseth-Palmer, Severine Roselli, Leonie Ashman, Rick Thorne, Chris Levi, and Nikola Bowden.
HMRI is a partnership between Hunter New England Health, the University of Newcastle and the community.

The Conference on Translational Cancer Research was held from September 10-12, 2008 at Newcastle, NSW, Australia. It was the third cancer conference to be organised by The Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI).
